Hiking, biking, and getting outside in Ontario
Tew Falls in the Spencer Gorge Wilderness Area and the views from Dundas Peak sounded perfect. This was more of a “walk in the park” than a hike. For the most part we were walking on fine-gravel paths, well maintained bridges, and cement lookout points with sturdy guardrails.
This hike is a loop, half on the Bruce Trail, and half on side streets. It took us about 2 hours, including stops for pictures along the way. The park itself had a fair number of people in it on a Saturday, but after hiking for about 30 minutes there weren’t many people around.
There are a lot of waterfalls in the Hamilton Ontario area, many along the Bruce Trail. This hike will take you past Tiffany Falls (21 metre cascade waterfall) and Sherman Falls (17 metre curtain waterfall – also called Fairy Falls or Angel Falls).
