Photos and description of the biking and walking multi-use trail west from Victoria Park to Dawes Road along the Taylor Creek. The description starts at the Victoria Park subway station, heading north past the Dentonia Park golf course and Crescent Town to the start of the trail.

Images and history of the stained glass windows in some of the private mausoleums of the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto. While the Eaton’s Crypt is the most famous, with two lions watching from the front steps, there are other mausoleums worth enjoying. While none of the glass has specific artists, I also found details on the most likely source – the McCausland’s company Canada Stained Glass Works which is still in business today.
Mount Pleasant cemetery is known for its wide variety of trees – but in late April through early May it is the cherry blossom trees north of the entrance on the east side of Yonge Street that steal the show, as they do every spring. Back at the end of September 2009 the new Mount Pleasant Visitation Centre was pretty much complete. The visitation centre ( now called a funeral centre ) has a long, protracted history reaching back to initial plans in 2004.
