A wonderful hiking loop in the Boyne Valley Provincial park with sweeping meadow views from Murphy’s Pinnacle. Lots of bridges and boardwalks over rivers and through swamps – a classic Southern Ontario hike along the Bruce Trail.
An excellent forest hike, with views over the Boyne Valley Provincial park. Slightly marred by the sounds of cars and trucks along County Road 19 for a portion of the hike – to be fair, we drove all the way from Toronto for the day, leaving our own sound and air pollution behind. A relatively short hike in the Splitrock Narrows Nature Reserve, with at least a partial loop, that has all the highlights of the Bruce Trail – forests, fields, cliffs, rocky outliers and crevices, glacial spillway, and views out over the surrounding area.
