Historic photos from Bedford Park in Toronto

A residential area that grew north from Yonge and Lawrence in the general neighbourhood of Lawrence Park. In the 1800's Bedford Park was a common stopping point for farmers making their way to the city, and the Bedford Hotel opened in 1873 at Yonge Street and Fairlawn Avenue. Many of the streets and homes were built in the 1890's through the 1940's.
